Welcome macOS

I’d like to take a moment to welcome our latest OS platform to MobileIron Cloud, macOS! Apple recently announced their best quarter ever for macOS, shipping over 5 million Macs, so the timing couldn’t be better. While macOS management has been available for some years on our Core platform, macOS is a relative newcomer to MobileIron Cloud. With the introduction of our new macOS capabilities, together with our cutting edge Windows 10 management, MobileIron is demonstrating a commitment to meet both the desktop and mobile management needs of the modern enterprise.

Our comprehensive approach to macOS allows our customers to manage device encryption and certificates, deploy applications with integration into Apple’s Volume Purchase Program (VPP), and configure services like WiFi, VPN, email, and many other configurations.

Admins can make sure their Mac population adheres to company policies and specify a remediation when they don’t (like a selective wipe of enterprise content). Even better, users can take advantage of Apple’s Device Enrollment Program (DEP) to help users effortlessly enroll their Macs, along with all of their other IOS devices, onto MobileIron Cloud.

MobileIron Cloud supports macOS 10.10 (Yosemite), macOS 10.11 (El Capitan) and macOS Sierra (10.12). Existing MobileIron customers can learn more about our macOS features at community.mobileiron.com. If your organization is interested in learning more about macOS or signing up for a free 30-day trial of MobileIron Cloud, including all of our macOS features, please visit our website.
