How a Conference Room-Scheduling App is Driving iOS Enterprise Adoption

You’re probably wondering, ‘what does a conference room-scheduling app have to do with pushing the enterprise mobility envelope?’ Everything.

When it comes to enterprise mobility, moving beyond mobile email is hard. Enterprises lack general application development and security expertise. Great mobile designers are like unicorns, impossible to find. Even if companies have the expertise and the people, there are costs associated with developing mobile business applications that can be prohibitive.

Yet mobile employees are tech-savvy consumers and they bring their expectations for great mobile experiences to work. They want to do more than email on mobile devices, but the constraints I mentioned above block progress. That’s where our new conference room-scheduling app, MobileIron Rooms, comes in.

We built MobileIron Rooms for iOS for two reasons: 1) to make reserving a conference room delightful, and 2) to help iOS enterprise customers move beyond mobile email with a simple-to-deploy app. In other words, we want to help IT departments get a quick mobile win on the board to help catalyze their broader enterprise mobility aspirations.

PCL Construction, one of the largest construction companies in North America, is one of the customers evaluating Rooms.

I encourage iOS enterprise customers to sign up for the free MobileIron Rooms trial by contacting a MobileIron account executive.
