Samsung Will Remote Update All Galaxy Note7 Devices in US

Beginning December 19, Samsung will begin a mass scale remote update of all Galaxy Note7 devices in the US and brick the devices, meaning they will no longer charge nor will they be able to work on cellular networks. Samsung Newsroom reports, “Together with our carrier partners, we will be notifying consumers through multiple touchpoints to encourage any remaining Galaxy Note7 owners to participate in the program and to take advantage of the financial incentives available.” The company encourages consumers to participate in the US Note7 Refund and Exchange Program.
