A Data-Driven Smartphone Management Company
Vision
MobileIron was founded to bring simplicity to the chaos of smartphones in the enterprise. Smartphones are quickly becoming the primary personal communications and computing platform for business. However, they introduce cost, risk, and usability challenges that traditional mobile device management strategies cannot address. Our approach is to simplify the problem for IT, finance, and end-users by moving smartphone data to the enterprise cloud. The MobileIron Virtual Smartphone Platform is the first solution to combine data-driven smartphone management with real-time wireless cost control.
Value
The MobileIron Virtual Smartphone Platform lets companies:
- Take Control: Get smartphone operations under control quickly with Advanced Management.
- Reduce Costs: Cut wireless bills up to 20% with Mobile Activity Intelligence.
- Expand User Experience: Drive self-governance and productivity with MyPhone@Work services like usage visibility and the Enterprise App Store.
Most companies have minimal visibility into what’s on a phone and how it’s being used. MobileIron’s unique architecture eliminates this blind spot. The MobileIron Virtual Smartphone Platform is packaged as a simple-to-install appliance that plugs into a corporate network and lets our customers quickly gain control of their smartphone operations.
Background
MobileIron was founded in Fall 2007. Our U.S. headquarters is in Mountain View, California in the heart of Silicon Valley, while our EMEA headquarters is in the Netherlands.
We also have a development office in Hyderabad, India. Our team is made of enterprise software veterans who believe smartphones will become the pervasive computing platform for the mobile worker.
